About CoreSite

The CoreSite Difference
CoreSite partners with customers to provide reliable, secure data centers that improve business continuity and promote the growth of their ICT infrastructure.

The company builds and manages data centers across the United States, offering more than two million square feet of wholesale data center space and colocation services to more than 500 customers.

A Carlyle portfolio company, CoreSite delivers the level of security, service, and network access businesses need to compete in the global marketplace. The Carlyle Group is one of the world’s largest private equity firms.

Our Offerings
CoreSite has three principle product offerings: wholesale data centers, colocation and peering.

CoreSite’s wholesale data center offering is comprised of private data centers ranging from large suites to build-to-suit data centers designed for a single tenant. The scalable data center rooms include dedicated UPS and cooling infrastructure designed for privacy and 100% security. Depending on the customer’s size, cooling towers and generator plants may also be dedicated to the private data center. CoreSite wholesale is designed to meet the regulatory and operational control elements that large enterprises require.

Colocation, or what we call CoreSite’s Cage-To-Cabinet Colocation, opens the door to the most reliable data centers for companies of all sizes. Enjoy a superior experience through a single cabinet or have a dedicated, customized cage tailored to meet your specific power and cooling requirements. Customers large and small can rely upon our team of experts to do anything from design the most efficient deployment for your equipment to provide smart hands and industry leading peering and interconnection services.

CoreSites’s Peering offering includes both private, dedicated cross connections and CoreSite’s Internet exchange, Any2. No matter your business need, network density is one thing that you can never get enough of. At CoreSite, we make communication easy.

In most cases, you can find each of our wholesale data center, colocation, and Any2 peering offering under the same roof (our private data centers may not be available at all locations). That’s one of the reasons CoreSite is different than other data center companies. We combine large-scale data center space, professional operation support and the ability to peer and interconnect with hundreds of networks to meet almost any data center need efficiently and reliably. Whether a requirement is large or small, growing or fixed, or driven by network density or power costs, we have an intelligent solution.

Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
CoreSite is committed to global responsibility. Our future data center construction projects will feature the latest in energy-efficient technology, including, but not limited to:

  • LEED certification on new data centers
  • Air and water-side economization where possible
  • Variable frequency drives on large induction motors
  • 95%-efficient AC UPS power systems
  • Active PUE monitoring at all data centers

We encourage our customers to deploy their data center equipment in an energy efficient and responsible way by offering recycling options, usage-based power pricing (where our customers directly benefit from their efficient use of power), and green deployment consultation. CoreSite is a proud member of The Green Grid.

In addition to building and maintaining efficient data centers, we are committed to reducing corporate waste. While CoreSite is just a small company of less than 150 employees, we attempt to reduce, reuse and recycle as a part of our culture.
