Status: Full-time, hourly
Role:
As a member of the Legal Department, this Legal Assistant position will be responsible for supporting the legal, finance, and lease administration departments in all phases of the compliance process.
Duties:
- Assembly and maintenance of corporate minute books, closing binders, due diligence files, forms files in original and electronic formats
- Electronic filing of corporate compliance documents
- Assembly and coordination of legal due diligence materials
- File organization and maintenance and coordination of off-site filing system
- Coordination of travel arrangements, deliveries, mail processing, due diligence, and litigation holds among departments
- Assistance with administration of leases and licenses
- Assistance with tracking and maintaining tenant activity
- Preparation of agreements, correspondence, lease abstracts, and other documents in Word, Excel, and other formats as shall be determined from time to time
- Calendaring and tracking of deadlines and scheduling of conference calls, meetings, and other calendar events
- General support of the legal and lease administration groups
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Solid organizational skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office 2007 and Adobe Acrobat skills
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and organize extremely large amounts of electronic and paper information
- Able to interface among sales, marketing, finance, facilities, information technology, legal, accounting, and other departments
Education/Experience:
- Three to five years of experience with legal, corporate, or regulatory documents at an extremely busy or high level
- Some college-level coursework desirable
- Experience reporting to multiple departments or disciplines
