CoreSite's 700+ customers average more than 15 active cross-connects each, interconnecting with other customers and service providers passively or through a switched-multiplexed service.
Cross connections have a provisioned bit rate for both intra-data center and inter-data center transmissions. CoreSite intra-data center Ethernet connectivity is provided via a combination of core and edge switches.
Electrical signals coming from customers to other customers or carriers may extend up to 350 linear feet of transmission medium. For distances greater than 350 feet, CoreSite converts the electronic signal over fiber optics, connecting higher order Telco-grade multiplexers or media converters.
CoreSite cross-connects are installed by our experienced team of certified operations personnel. Technicians are available 24-hours a day, facilitating after-hours work orders and holiday cross-connect requests.
