CoreSite offers inter-data center connectivity in Los Angeles, Miami, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Washington DC.
The service is provided through Ethernet and SONET/TDM interconnection within a metro market. CoreSite's network policy when interconnecting data centers is to use diverse, dark fiber (DF) pairs connected to separate Dense Wave Division Multiplexer (DWDM) line cards on a single DWDM chassis.
In Los Angeles, customers may secure their own private dark fiber pair as inter-site connectivity to tether deployments at 900 N. Alameda and One Wilshire or simply as a cross-connect to another network or service provider. Customers choosing this option are able to provide their own DWDM equipment to create nearly unlimited bandwidth capabilities between CoreSite data centers.
Inter-site connectivity allows customers to grow within a region even under capacity constraints at their original data center location.
In markets where CoreSite has a single data center, we offer common-carrier access to other regional interconnection hubs to create a similar "tethered" environment to CoreSite's inter-site options listed above.
With more than 225 domestic and international carriers and access to 40+ intercontinental cables, connecting your deployment at a CoreSite data center to a customer or deployment at another regional data center is easy and cost-effective.
