Construction is underway on Phase 1 of CoreSite's data center campus in Santa Clara. The project is projected to open in Q1’10. CoreSite customers in Santa Clara will have the unique opportunity to lease cage-to-cabinet colocation space as well as wholesale space up to a dedicated, 5.3 critical megawatt private data center.
In addition to exceptional energy efficiency, Phase 1 will feature security protocols that leading enterprises require such as mantraps, CCTV surveillance, and biometric scanners. Once construction is complete, CoreSite's Santa Clara data center will undergo a SAS 70 audit en route to propsed SAS 70 Type II certification. To ensure business continuity, the data center will also feature an N+1 emergency generator plant and cooling infrastructure as well as a 2N UPS configuration.
