Remote hands support is offered at all CoreSite data centers and is an extension of CoreSite’s standard colocation service offering.
Some specific remote hands services that CoreSite can provide include:
- On-site technical assistance
- Visual verification to assist remote troubleshooting efforts
- Racking-and-stacking new equipment
- Ladder rack build-outs and cable management designs and deployment
- Swapping removable media (tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc.)
- Pushing a button or toggling a switch or power cycling equipment
- Relaying equipment status and typing commands onto a pre-installed console.
- Wiring services such as moving, securing, or terminating cables.
- Labeling equipment or taking digital photos
- Diagnostic and signal testing for cross connection circuits (T-1, DS-3, OC-3, etc.)
How Can I Order Remote Hands Services?
Customers can request scheduled or unscheduled remote hands support 24x7 at all CoreSite data centers. Schedule your requested support through the MyCoreSite portal. To request remote hands services, you must be a company-approved representative.
Please schedule non-emergency remote hands at least 24 hours prior to the desired scheduled event. For emergency and short-notice requests, our response time is as follows:
- During business hours we will respond within one hour of your request.
- During non-business hours we will respond within two hours.
