Your safety is important to us.

Updated: march 11, 2020

Dear Valued CoreSite Community,

At CoreSite, we take the safety, satisfaction and general welfare of our employees, customers and vendor partners very seriously. As such, the leadership team at CoreSite is closely following the developing news regarding Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). We are monitoring reports from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other government agencies. Following is important information regarding our preparations and precautions relating to COVID-19.

Preparations To-Date:

  • We have increased emphasis on sanitation by including hand sanitizers in restrooms, break rooms and lobbies. We also have verified the use of Coronavirus-killing cleaning solutions by our janitorial service providers across all our locations
  • We have suspended all non-essential work travel for our employees
  • When appropriate, non-mission critical employees are working remotely to minimize potential virus transmission at our office locations and data centers
  • We have engaged all mission critical vendors to understand their emergency response plans
  • We are prepared and are following our standard operating procedures related to emergency response

Visiting Our CoreSite Locations

In advance of visiting our locations, we kindly ask that our employees, customers, and vendor partners consider the following questions:

  • Are you currently experiencing any flu-like symptoms?
  • Have you been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for the COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
  • Have you visited within the last 14 days any country with a Level 3 Travel Health Notice in place, including Mainland China, South Korea, Italy or Iran?

If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, we ask that you defer your visit to a future date.

Operational Excellence

  • We remain committed to ensuring operational excellence. Our Data Center Operations (DCO) team is cross-trained and has the ability to support multiple operational functions.
  • Our DCO team frequently drills and tests disaster scenarios, including those that may involve limited staffing.

We continue to perform our maintenance program in compliance with our standard operating procedures.

Business Continuity and Operational Disaster Preparedness

Our preparation and response is covered by our Operational Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Plan.

CoreSite remains committed to clear, transparent communication with our employees, customers and vendor partners regarding this matter. We will continue to keep you apprised of our approach to COVID-19 as the situation unfolds.

Kind regards,

Paul Szurek
