About FiberLight, LLC
With 24 years of experience under our belt, FiberLight is an industry-leading expert in planning, engineering and installing fiber optic networks – often in record time. We were one of the first fiber-optic network construction companies to build within state and local rights-of-way. In the 1990s, as ACSI, we built multi-duct, high-count fiber systems in 30 metropolitan areas in just over 30 months. As ACSI NT, we grew to $100 million in sales by 1999. While many tech businesses failed during the dot-com bubble burst at the turn of the century, FiberLight continued to grow by avoiding speculative construction activities.
By 2001, ACSI NT passed $300 million in sales. In 2002, Xspedius bought ACSI NT and renamed it Xspedius Fiber Group (XFG). Internal management and Thermo Telecom Partners bought XFG in 2005, and the FiberLight of today was born. Under the direction of internal management and Thermo, FiberLight became more than a construction company. We are now an industry-leading provider of bandwidth services over an ever expanding fiber optic network.
Today, FiberLight has constructed fiber optic networks in over 44 metros across the United States, is on-net at over 1,800 locations, 1,000 towers and 100 data centers. Today, FiberLight has a total of more than 1,700,000 fiber miles or 12,000 route miles across all our networks. Last year, we announced 100G long-haul connectivity between major markets, including Washington DC, South Florida, Dallas and Atlanta.
FiberLight will expand further in 2017 by striking ground on our Louisiana FTTT network, introducing two new services to our product portfolio, and completing a build to connect the Texas valley near Mexico to major cities such as Houston, San Antonio and Dallas, by entering Louisiana. At FiberLight, we’re not scared of a challenge - not even one that everyone else thinks is impossible. That attitude and our expertise has made FiberLight a trusted provider of infrastructure for telecom companies, leading healthcare and educational institutions, and future-minded enterprises across the U.S.
