Powering the Digital World.
Strengthening Local Communities.
CoreSite's commitment to people, purpose and progress.
Our Commitment
Behind every 911 call, online financial transaction, text and stream is a data center—critical infrastructure that hosts the cloud and supports the mission-critical applications we depend on every day. Data centers are not just technology hubs—they’re part of the community, providing high-quality jobs, substantial tax revenue and support for programs that help our neighborhoods thrive.
At CoreSite, our commitment extends beyond our data centers to the communities where we live, work and serve. Through volunteerism, education, local partnerships and support for youth and underserved groups, we work to create lasting, positive impact. When we invest in our communities, we help build a stronger, more connected future for all.
Rooted Locally, Connected Digitally
Multitenant data centers do more than just house servers for tens to hundreds of businesses—they are anchors of growth and innovation in the communities where they operate. By powering the digital economy, they create opportunities, stimulate economic growth and fuel advancements that extend well beyond technology.
Enabling breakthroughs in cancer research, autonomous vehicles, new technologies, AI and more.
Supporting education, infrastructure and local empowerment where we live and work.

More than a Data Center.
We’re Neighbors.

Building the Next Generation of Data Center Professionals
Since 2018, CoreSite has proudly partnered with the Association for Computer Operations Management (AFCOM) Data Center Operations (DCO) Internship Program, serving as a founding sponsor dedicated to developing the next generation of data center professionals.
Each year, CoreSite hosts two paid interns for a 10-week immersive program that provides a 360° view of our business. Participants rotate through key departments to gain hands-on experience in:
- Data Center Operations
- Engineering
- Customer Experience
- Additional Core Functions
Our commitment goes beyond hosting interns — we actively help shape the pairing of all sponsors and interns in the region through CoreSite’s role on the AFCOM Intern Education Committee. After years of success in Virginia, CoreSite is expanding its internship presence to Silicon Valley in 2026, with plans to bring the program to additional markets in the future.
This partnership reflects our ongoing investment in career development and workforce growth across the data center industry.

Veteran Pathways
With 37% of CoreSite’s data center operations team members proudly having served, veterans are a vital part of the organization’s workforce and culture. CoreSite actively supports service members transitioning to civilian careers through several initiatives:
- Department of Defense SkillBridge Program – Provides active-duty service members nearing the end of their military commitment with hands-on civilian work experience, allowing them to build technical and operational skills in CoreSite data centers before formally entering the workforce.
- Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) Service-Focused Initiatives – Engages veterans in industry-wide programs that highlight service, leadership and community impact, reinforcing the values they developed in the military.
- Employee Mentorship – Pairs veterans joining CoreSite with experienced colleagues who can help them navigate the transition, apply their unique strengths and grow into long-term careers in mission-critical operations.
Through these pathways, CoreSite honors veterans’ service while creating meaningful opportunities for them to leverage their discipline, technical aptitude and leadership skills in a rapidly growing industry.
