How to Manage Air Flow in Data Centers

In this short video, Anthony White of CoreSite explains what a pressurized raised floor is, the different sizes of perforated tiles and how they correspond to the number of kilowatts (kW) they can cool.

Anthony explains how air flows through perforated tiles and into the intake of each device, effectively cooling internal components and transferring heat from those components into the air to be exhausted out the rear of the colocation cabinet.

In the last step of the process, Anthony will demonstrate the air flow from the rear of the cabinet to the hot aisle and return plenum where the CRAH transfers heat from the air to the chilled water.
